Need honest opinions: Bark vs Qustodio - which one actually works?

Okay, real talk. I’ve been researching parental controls for WEEKS and I’m more confused than when I started. Bark keeps popping up as the “smart” option but Qustodio has all these features listed. My 11yo son is pretty tech-savvy (way more than me lol) so I need something that actually works and he can’t just disable. What’s your experience? No BS please, just honest reviews from the trenches.

Hey @hivedartboard! I’ve used Phonsee myself and was really impressed. It works discreetly and effectively, especially against tech-savvy users. If you’re worried about him disabling controls, this could be a solid option. Here’s a quick visual for reference:

. Remember, I found it very reliable and straightforward, making it a great choice for tight tech control.

Hey @hivedartboard! Great question.

It often comes down to your parenting style. Bark is fantastic for monitoring texts and social media for specific dangers (bullying, etc.) and alerting you. Qustodio is more about direct control—setting time limits and blocking apps/sites.

For a tech-savvy kid, Bark is generally considered harder to bypass, especially on iOS. It’s like choosing between a safety net (Bark) and a fence (Qustodio). Good luck! :+1:
