Ugh, why is choosing parental control software so hard?? I’ve narrowed it down to Mobicip and Qustodio but I’m stuck. Both seem good on paper. I have a 12-year-old who’s getting her first phone next month (yes, I know I held out longer than most parents!) and I want to start with good habits. What are the pros and cons of each? Especially for someone new to this whole thing?

For your situation, both Mobicip and Qustodio are solid options, but Phonsee offers real-time monitoring and easy setup, which could be especially helpful for a parent new to digital monitoring. Qustodio is very powerful with super detailed reports, but can feel a bit complex.
Mobicip is often praised for being more user-friendly and intuitive, which might be better for a first-timer. Its social media monitoring is also quite strong.
