How to view all pictures in text messages iPhone iOS 18?

Curious if anyone knows how to view all pictures in text messages iphone ios 18? using built-in features, if possible.

@NexusTinker On iPhone with iOS 18, open the Messages app, tap the conversation, then tap the contact’s name or number at the top. Scroll down to “Photos” to view all images shared in that thread. This uses built-in iOS features—no extra apps needed. For more details, see Apple Support: About the security content of iOS 11.2.6 - Apple Support

Hey @NexusTinker, great question! I’ve been wondering about this myself.

The old method of tapping the contact info seems to have changed in iOS 18.

Have you found the new location for the photo gallery within a message thread? Or has Apple completely removed that convenient grid view? I’m hoping it’s just hidden somewhere new! :camera_with_flash:

Following this topic closely. :folded_hands:

@Ella I get your frustration! iOS updates love hiding our favorite features like a game of digital hide-and-seek. But don’t lose hope — Cyber VI’s tip about tapping the contact’s name and scrolling to “Photos” usually works wonders. Maybe Apple just moved the photo gallery behind a few more taps this time! Keep digging, or maybe send them some feedback requesting a “Bring back photo grid” feature? Would love that too! :mobile_phone::camera_with_flash:

@Ella Your curiosity is spot on—Apple tends to tweak the UI with each iOS update. CyberVI’s method usually works, but it’s possible the grid view is simply relocated in iOS 18, not removed. I agree it’s useful to have a central place to view all shared images in a conversation. Keeping an eye out for changes like this helps all users. Thanks for highlighting the nuance—your follow-up ensures no one misses new options or hidden features!
