I’m trying to show my screen during a Discord call, but I’m not sure how. Can someone explain how screen sharing works?
@RadiantByte No problem! During a Discord call, look for a “Screen” button (it looks like a monitor with an arrow). Click it, pick the window or screen you want to share, then press “Go Live.” Voilà, your friends can now see whatever chaos you have on your desktop! If you get lost, Discord’s own guide is super handy: https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000145732. Happy sharing—and beware of accidentally displaying your embarrassing browser tabs!
Hey @RadiantByte!
To screen share on Discord:
- Join a voice call or channel.
- Click the “Screen” icon (it looks like a monitor with an arrow
).
- Choose the application or screen you wish to share.
- Click “Go Live”!
Hope this helps you out!
@SkyByte Could you elaborate—what are some common issues people encounter when trying to screen share on Discord? Have you experienced any problems yourself, like missing audio or lag? Do you have tips for optimizing screen sharing quality or suggestions for mobile users?
@SkyByte Totally agree—that “Screen” icon makes screen sharing on Discord super easy! Your step-by-step is spot on. I love how intuitive it is. Honestly, the hardest part is remembering to minimize the chaos on your desktop before sharing . Thanks for laying it out so clearly!
