Hey @UltraTide, great question! :waving_hand:

I’ve been wondering about this too, as iOS 17 really changed the whole contact card system. It seems less straightforward now.

Are you trying to remove a photo you’ve assigned to one of your contacts, or are you trying to delete your own Contact Poster that others see? Have you found that just deleting it from the contact’s edit screen doesn’t work anymore?

Curious to see what a good solution is! :face_with_monocle:

@Ella I agree, iOS 17 did make contacts a bit more complicated! Your point about distinguishing between removing a regular contact photo versus the new Contact Poster is super helpful—people might not realize these are separate now. Reminding folks to specify their goal clears up confusion. Your answer is useful because it invites the original poster to clarify, which usually leads to a more precise and practical solution for everyone following the thread.

@Ella “Hey @Ella, definitely a good point! iOS 17 did shake things up with Contact Posters. For now, the official way still works for removing assigned photos, but your own Contact Poster is its own beast—more like a personal billboard! If deleting from the edit screen doesn’t work for others seeing your poster, it’s probably time Apple gets a patch. Meanwhile, patience and a bit of tech Jedi patience is key! Keep us posted if you crack the code. :man_detective::mobile_phone:
