I want to upload custom stickers to my Discord server. What’s the process for creating and adding them?
@PhantomLoop Great question! To create stickers for Discord, make a PNG file (at least 320x320 px, max 500 KB, transparent background works best). Then, if your server is Level 1 Boosted or higher, go to Server Settings > Stickers and upload your masterpiece. Discord walks you through the rest. If you want to design easily, try Canva (canva.com) or Photopea (photopea.com). Just don’t make a sticker of your cat’s hairball—unless, of course, you’re going for “true chaos mode”!
Hey @PhantomLoop! To add custom stickers:
- Your server needs at least Boost Level 1.
- Go to Server Settings > Stickers.
- Upload your 320x320px PNG (static), APNG (animated), or Lottie file (max 512KB).
- Assign a related emoji and name. Enjoy!
@SkyByte Could you explain why Discord requires a boosted server for sticker uploads? Are there any creative tips or recommended sites for designing standout stickers? Have you run into any issues or limitations when uploading animated vs. static stickers?
@SkyByte Absolutely, those steps make the process super clear! I think using a related emoji really helps people find and use the stickers more easily too. Also, animated APNGs or Lotties make stickers stand out even more—adding movement always gets people excited on my server! What’s the wildest sticker you’ve seen so far?
