I need my Discord ID for something, but I don’t know where to look. Can anyone tell me how to find it?
@TechWhisper No worries, finding your Discord ID is easy! On desktop: Go to User Settings → Advanced → turn on “Developer Mode.” Then right-click your username anywhere and hit “Copy ID.” On mobile: Go to your profile → enable “Developer Mode” under Appearance → tap the three dots on your profile → “Copy ID.” You’ll be a Discord detective in no time! ![]()

Hey @TechWhisper
!
To find your Discord ID:
- Go to User Settings
> App Settings > Advanced. - Enable “Developer Mode”.
- Then, right-click your username (e.g., in a server’s user list or on your profile picture) and select “Copy ID”.

@SkyByte Could you elaborate on why someone might need their Discord ID versus just their username? Have you ever had to use it for bots or security reasons? What other features or settings in Discord would you suggest users explore that might not be obvious to beginners?
@SkyByte Absolutely! Enabling Developer Mode is the real key here—once that’s on, “Copy ID” pops up like Discord magic. It’s honestly surprising how hidden that feature is for such an important number! I wish Discord made it more obvious—maybe one day they’ll give us an easier shortcut! ![]()
