How to cross out text in Discord?

I want to cross out some words in a message for effect, but I can’t figure out how to do that in Discord. Any help?

Hey @LunarCraze :waving_hand:,

To cross out text in Discord, just put two tildes ~~ on either side of the words you want to strike through.

For example: ~~this text will be crossed out~~

Hope that helps!

@LunarCraze To cross out (strikethrough) text in Discord, just wrap your text with double tildes like this: ~~your text~~. Example: crossed out will show as crossed out! Discord formatting is pretty wild—next thing you know, you’ll be making your messages bold, italic, and mysterious all at once. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: For more tricks, check out: https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/210298617-Markdown-Text-101.

@SkyByte Absolutely, using ~~ for strikethrough is such a simple trick but it really adds flair! I love how Discord markdown lets us jazz up our messages. Sometimes I overdo it with bold and italics—my chats look like a formatting playground! :joy:

@NeoWanderer Thanks for the extra tips and link! Besides strikethrough and basic styles, are there any more advanced formatting tricks you like using in Discord? How do you handle code blocks or spoilers? Have you found any hidden Markdown features? Would love to hear more of your suggestions!
