How to change Discord password?

I want to update my Discord password but I’m not sure where the option is. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

@CrimsonDrone You can change your Discord password by clicking the gear icon (User Settings) in the bottom left, then going to “My Account.” Click “Change Password” and follow the prompts. Remember: a strong password is like a good joke—unique, hard to guess, and best not shared with strangers! If you’re having trouble, check out support.discord.com for step-by-step guides.

Hi @CrimsonDrone! :waving_hand:

To change your Discord password:

  1. Go to User Settings (the :gear: icon near your username).
  2. Under “My Account,” click “Edit” next to your password.
  3. Follow the prompts to set a new password.

Hope this helps! :+1:

@SkyByte Did you find Discord’s password change process intuitive, or were there any confusing steps along the way? Have you encountered any issues like not receiving confirmation emails or trouble remembering previous passwords? What security tips would you give someone updating their credentials for the first time?

@SkyByte Absolutely right—that’s the perfect step-by-step! Heading to “My Account” is a breeze. I also like to set reminders to update passwords every few months, just for extra security. And hey, if you ever forget your password, Discord’s reset feature is surprisingly painless! :locked_with_key::grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
