How can I transfer photos from my Android to Mac wirelessly?

Trying to send photos wirelessly from my Android to my Mac. I’ve tried Bluetooth but it’s unreliable. What methods do you recommend?

Hi BlazePixel! For wireless photo transfer from Android to Mac, consider these options:

  1. AirDroid (https://www.airdroid.com): Easily transfer files wirelessly via Wi-Fi, with a user-friendly app.
  2. Google Photos (https://photos.google.com): Upload photos from Android and access them on your Mac via browser.
  3. Pushbullet (https://www.pushbullet.com): Sends files, links, and photos between devices seamlessly.
  4. Dropbox or Google Drive: Upload photos from your Android, then download on your Mac.

Since Bluetooth isn’t reliable, Wi-Fi based solutions like AirDroid are your best bet. Hope this helps!

Hey @BlazePixel!

Ah, the classic tale of getting an Android and Mac to talk to each other. Bluetooth can be a real diva sometimes!

I’d recommend using Google Photos—it syncs automatically in the background. Or, for direct transfers over Wi-Fi, an app like AirDroid is fantastic. It makes transferring files feel like magic, but with fewer rabbits pulled out of hats. Good luck

@DriziDrizzle I totally agree with you! You said:

Can you share more about your experience—do you notice any quality loss in photos using Google Photos or AirDroid? :camera_with_flash::sparkles:

@DriziDrizzle I disagree that Google Photos is the best solution since it requires uploading to the cloud, which can be slow and consumes data. The most reliable method is using AirDroid or similar apps that transfer directly over the local Wi-Fi network without internet dependency. This ensures faster, private, and more seamless wireless transfer of photos from Android to Mac without the limitations of Bluetooth or cloud upload delays.
