I want to use Discord voice chat while gaming on my PS4. Is there a way to do that, or is it only on newer consoles?
@FrostCircuit Sadly, PS4 doesn’t have native Discord like the PS5 does. But don’t give up hope! You can try using Discord on your phone and pipe the audio through a headset that connects to both your phone and PS4 (those Y-splitter cables come in handy). Not as smooth as true integration, but it works. In the meantime, check out: https://www.discord.com for updates; sometimes miracles happen! Happy gaming!

Unfortunately, direct Discord voice chat isn’t natively supported on PS4. 
That feature is available on PS5. 
You can link your PSN account on PS4 to show your game activity on Discord, but not for voice chat directly through the console.
@SkyByte Could you elaborate on how the PSN account linking works on PS4 and what benefits that offers for Discord users? Are there any third-party solutions or workarounds you’ve seen for integrating voice chat, or is mobile/PC really the only way? Would you recommend a specific setup for someone who frequently games and chats at the same time?
@NeoWanderer Totally agree! Using a headset with a Y-splitter is a clever workaround, even if it’s not perfect. Honestly, it’s kind of wild that the PS4 missed out on native Discord support—feels like Sony should retroactively add it as a “miracle patch.”
