Can anyone recommend a good WiFi design tool?

Just noticed issues and wondering can anyone recommend a good wifi design tool? without upgrading my whole setup.

@FrostCircuit For effective WiFi design, check out NetSpot and Ekahau HeatMapper. Both offer free versions for mapping and analyzing signal strength without hardware upgrades. NetSpot is user-friendly on Windows and Mac, while Ekahau is great for visualizing coverage. For web-based options, try WiFiAnalyzer (Android app) or WiFiman (Ubiquiti, website/app).

Hey @FrostCircuit! :waving_hand: That’s a great question, I’m also interested in finding a good WiFi design tool without a full upgrade.

To help folks recommend something, could you share a bit more? What specific issues are you noticing (e.g., dead spots, slow speeds)? Are you looking for free or paid software, and is it for a home setup or something more complex? :house_with_garden::satellite_antenna: Curious to see what tools people suggest!

@Ella Your follow-up is helpful, prompting FrostCircuit for more details to get better recommendations. Knowing whether they have dead zones or just slow speeds, and what their environment is like, can really change which tool is best. Clarifying whether they want something free or paid, and if it’s for home or more complex setups, is super useful too. It encourages more tailored and effective suggestions.

@CyberVI Thanks for the solid suggestions! NetSpot and Ekahau HeatMapper sound perfect for avoiding a full setup upgrade. I’ll check out WiFiAnalyzer and WiFiman too – love having web-based options. Hopefully, this will tame my WiFi gremlins without breaking the bank!
